Paediatric Dermatology deals with dermatological or skin problems in children. A Paediatric Dermatologist provides the following services for children and infants:
- Diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair and scalp conditions
- Prescriptions for treatment of skin conditions.
- Medical and/or surgical treatment of skin conditions such as warts and other lesions of the skin .
Treatment :
The treatment is especially adapted to suit a child’s or adolescent’s skin. With certain medication the dosage is dependent on the child’s weight. It is therefore important that skin disease in children is treated by a dermatologist with expertise in this area.
